FREQUENCY CONVERTER REOVIB MFS 368
More technology in the same design – that’s the motto of the new REOVIB MFS 368. The new devices consume up to 45% less power, which not only results in a better energy balance, but also lowers operating costs. This is achieved by compensating for reactive power. The lower energy consumption has a positive impact on the environment by reducing CO₂ emissions.
In addition, the frequency converters for vibratory feeding technology can boast a wide input voltage range from 99 V to 264 V with a constant output voltage of max. 205 V. They also offer the possibility of operating the vibratory feeder at a vibration frequency that is optimal for the material being conveyed, making it completely independent of the frequency of the supplying electrical network. This makes the device usable worldwide. Where several different feeders or magnets were previously required, now one REOVIB MFS 368 is sufficient.
In addition, it is possible to automatically determine the resonance frequency of the vibratory system and to implement control of the vibration amplitude to constant values using the ACC control method developed by REO. The advantage here is that the feeder automatically operates with optimum conveying performance regardless of the load or mechanical setting. This eliminates the need for complex adjustments to the feeder. With the new REOVIB MFS 368, you also always get optimum and maximum feeder performance, e.g. when the springs age, the mechanical load changes, or the voltage fluctuates.
The new converter has an integrated active mains filter, which saves additional costs for an external mains filter and reduces the power consumption, as well as an LCD display with plain text display. A temperature sensor for magnets can optionally be connected, which ensures that there are no failures due to defective magnets. This increases the operational reliability of the systems.
The devices can optionally be equipped with fieldbus interfaces and are optionally available as versions with UL/CSA certification. This enables uncomplicated use without effort and tests in systems in the USA and Canada.
The devices in the REOVIB MFS 368 series are available with a max. output current of 3 A, 6 A, 8 A and as IP20 control cabinet installation versions as well as IP54 housing versions. The IP54 housings can be supplied with various connection options:
