At Smart Production Solutions (SPS) 2019, the world’s most modern control unit for vibratory feeders, the REOVIB MFS 368, will be unveiled and presented to the public. This year, REO AG will again be represented at the trade fair with a product forum covering more than 70 sqm.
Trade fair visitors will have the opportunity to see the new REOVIB for the first time. “Our most important product launch in 2020 will take the lead in modern networked production in global competition and meet the high demands of customers”, says CEO Philip Twellsieck, adding: “I look forward to talking to customers, partners, and interested parties at our booth.” In addition to CEO Philip Twellsieck, the two board colleagues André Kurzbach and Jörg Rohden will present the REOVIB MFS 368.
With REO Digital Connect 4.0, a REO start-up that exclusively deals with digitalization and device communication regarding Industry 4.0, a subsidiary of REO AG will also be present at the trade fair booth. Board member Mr. Jörg Rohden and project manager Mr. Cristoph Janz from REO Digital Connect 4.0 will provide insights into the field of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and the possibilities of efficient and networked production.
In addition, board member Ms. Jasminka Usein, together with department head Mr. Thomas Stüttgen, will present the modular system concepts for high-voltage and high-current power supplies with sinusoidal output, as well as air- and water-cooled resistive loads. These are used in test fields, e.g., for testing railway inverters.
Another trade fair highlight is the presentation of the new EDGE-Winding technology. This pioneering winding technology enables more efficient cooling performance due to its single-layer design, especially with forced cooling. Due to the lower winding capacitance, the edgewise winding is particularly suitable for the use of silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) based semiconductors. Compared to conventional technologies, the weight is up to 10% lower, the dimensions are smaller, and the power loss is reduced by up to 25%.
On the topic of drive technology, board member Mr. Sven Reimann, along with the production site managers Ms. Jennifer Baatz (Kyritz) and Mr. Wolfgang Senninger (Pfarrkirchen), will present the consistently pursued product philosophy of REOunity in detail during the trade fair days. REOunity is understood as a holistic, compatible system concept, where individual products represent a perfectly coordinated complete solution, everything around the frequency converter.
The presentation of the latest developments in REO-patented, liquid-cooled components rounds off the trade fair appearance. In addition to the exhibited product innovations, visitors also have the opportunity to experience the product world of REO AG in detail on three touch monitors. Furthermore, several TV screens provide a current insight into the production world of REO AG with newly produced performance and product films.
SPS in Nuremberg – Smart Production Solutions – (formerly SPS IPC Drives) is an international trade fair for industrial automation, covering electrical automation, systems, and components. From November 26, 2019, to November 28, 2019, 1,631 exhibitors and over 60,000 visitors are expected. The REO AG booth is located in Hall 4 (Booth 150) during the trade fair days. Trade fair appointments can be arranged in advance via the company headquarters in Solingen.
