Solingen, 19. June 2021 – for the twelfth consecutive time, REO AG honors three outstanding academic achievements in the field of physics with the REO Physikus Prize. As part of the annual Abitur graduation ceremony, the award winners were honored at Schwertstraße Gymnasium in Solingen.
“People who combine social commitment and the pursuit of new knowledge are a guarantee for a good future for our society. This prize is intended to be a confirmation of their previous achievements and at the same time an incentive to continue on their path. .”, says board member Jasminka Usein, adding: “Motivation and appreciation for the achievements of young people are particularly important, especially against the backdrop of the Corona pandemic. Therefore, it was a matter close to our hearts to make our contribution and this year again to inspire students for the fascinating world of physics. .
The REO Physikus Prize is awarded for the twelfth time to three Abitur graduates of Schwertstraße Gymnasium in Solingen. This year, the following were honored for their extraordinary achievements in the advanced physics course:

With the awarding of the REO Physikus Prize, REO AG supports local young talent at its headquarters in Solingen. Because REO AG, as a globally active manufacturer of electrotechnical and electronic devices and systems, also relies on young skilled workers. Jasminka Usein: ” We work closely with universities, whether in Berlin or Wuppertal. In addition, we also follow traditional paths and train several young people each year to become electronics technicians for industrial engineering or industrial clerks. To date, we have been able to offer every apprentice a permanent position after completing their training. Many of our former apprentices now hold management positions, both at our headquarters in Solingen and in our other plants in Berlin, Hennigsdorf, Kyritz, and Pfarrkirchen. Even if some pursue a university career after completing their training, they are never truly gone. At REO, the door is always open for them as future young professionals in research and development. If that’s not motivation! ”
