Rail Technology Resistors
Efficient cooling especially for heavy-duty applications
REO NTT Resistors are specifically developed, produced, and certified for rail and heavy-duty applications. REO resistors, in air-cooled or water-cooled versions, are used in rail technology for various functions, such as damping resistors or charging/discharging resistors. Due to their area of application, these resistors are subject to special requirements. Maximum functional reliability and service life, coupled with extreme resistance to adverse environmental influences, are therefore absolutely essential. The specially developed winding technology allows for higher dielectric strength due to the spatial separation of the wires used. The profile design allows for protection classes up to IP66. The modular design ensures higher power ratings can be achieved by combining multiple resistors. REO liquid-cooled resistors are available with power ratings up to 60 kW, making them significantly smaller than conventional air-cooled resistors.
